As one of the world’s largest sports-betting and gaming groups, GVC Holdings (now Entain PLC) experienced continual business growth, outgrowing its previous offices. Woodhouse was appointed to create a brand-new space to embody the brand, and aid future growth. The new space is situated in Woking, Surrey – a 12,000 sq ft area which, with the help of Woodhouse, had a huge amount of potential to become a smarter workspace.
The building was already fitted out to a CAT A standard with carpets and suspended ceilings. The key challenges faced by Woodhouse involved:
Woodhouse’s experienced design team created a walkway and lighting track that zigzag through the space, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness and creating agile ‘zones’ for the various aspects of working life.
The new workspace includes a fully branded reception area, integrated AV systems, and furniture that creates a vibrant aesthetic. The scheme features a large breakout area between two wings, and offers a variety of meeting rooms and quiet spaces for focused work.
A large portion of the office had a lower ceiling, which was painted black to help create a feeling of space, and acoustic panels were suspended to absorb unwanted reverberation.
By intelligently breaking up the space, we have transformed what was a blank square office block into a modern workspace that enables maximum performance, with room to grow.”
