Woodhouse is pleased to confirm that we are currently on site delivering the new UK home of the Embassy of Finland at 62 Horseferry Road, Westminster.
The 12,000 sq ft project will see the transformation of a Grade II listed building into a bespoke diplomatic workplace, bringing together embassy operations, consular services and collaboration spaces within a carefully coordinated design. Works are currently underway and are expected to complete over a 25-week programme.
Following the successful completion of the building’s Cat A refurbishment, Woodhouse has now been appointed to deliver the Cat B fit-out, working closely with the client’s design team to develop the concept design into a fully coordinated and buildable solution.
The project has required close collaboration with multiple stakeholders including the client’s architect, designer and M&E consultants, with Woodhouse taking the design forward from RIBA Stage 4 through to delivery on site.
Given the nature of the building and its function, the scheme places significant emphasis on security, precision and coordination. The design incorporates specialist security infrastructure alongside a highly efficient layout that maximises functionality across relatively compact floor plates.
The new embassy will include a range of purpose-designed spaces such as conference facilities, consular areas, staff meeting rooms and wellbeing spaces, supporting both diplomatic operations and day-to-day workplace needs.
Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
